In my life thus far, I have found tremendous value in attempting to locate and, if non-existent, create from nothing silver linings within adverse life situations. This project is an expression of my journey of finding meaning within these chaotic times, meaning which has helped provide inspiration and motivation for dedicating time and energy into exploration of my inner landscape in search of a deeper understanding of myself, the surrounding world within which I exist, my place within this world, and my journey of healing personal & ancestral family trauma.
This whole process has been a dance between pushing myself beyond my comfort zone in order to engage with the unknown with the intention of learning and growing, while also being okay with relaxing and allowing myself to rest.
As a music therapist in training, one of my guiding principles is the more we are able to heal internal wounds, the greater our capacity is to hold space for others. While creating this project, this principle played a key role in my process. I've been learning to confront and be with parts of myself that are difficult to be with, the shadow side, the side that is in pain and is hurting. Learning to engage in a dialogue with these parts instead of running away, avoiding, or placing them on the "to do" list. As a result, many things have shifted for me, pain within my body & mind that I never thought could heal is beginning to mend.
This project is also inspired by my observation and contemplation of the fact that everyone else also exists within their own inner landscape. We walk this world, looking outwards from our inner consciousness. We exist somewhere behind our eyes and in between our ears, moving, feeling, talking, thinking, changing, etc. We have a voice within us, something which we refer to us as being "me," and this voice thinks thoughts. We each exist within ourselves until the day we die. If all else fails at bringing us together as a species, I believe it is this simple fact that we each exist within ourselves as a consciousness/awareness that refers to itself as "I am" and will one day die that binds us together absolutely.
We are all here on this earth together.
I also just really enjoy making music :)

In 100 years from reading this, the vast majority of human beings alive today will be dead and walking the earth will be an entirely new collection of human beings. Together we experience / together we part.
